Rev. Curtis Martin
Rev Martin was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, but grew up in Detroit, Michigan. He currently live in Matthews, North Carolina with his lovely wife Quanita Wells-Martin. He was a Veteran of the first Gulf War of which he served as Navy Assistant Chaplain to 2500 men on the USS America. He served as the Assistant Chaplain, and provided counseling to personnel in crisis, bereavement, and with marital problems. Rev. Martin was formerly the Pastor of Good News A.M.E. Zion Church in Orangeburg, South Carolina and have also served as an Associate Minister at O’Zion A.M.E. Zion and China Grove A.M.E. Zion churches. He was ordained by the Mt. Peace Missionary Baptist Association in 2009 and ordained as an Elder in the A.M.E. Zion Church in 2017. He is in the 4th year Conference Studies with the South Carolina Conference of the South Atlantic Episcopal District A.M.E. Zion Church and has a Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies from Regent University, Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Colorado Technical University, Associates Degree in Sociology from the City College of Chicago, Certificate of Pastoral Studies at Bishop Mason Bible College, Certificate in Family Counseling from St. Leo University and an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts Humanities from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. It is his desire to preach and teach the truth of God’s word so that His presence permeates our very being. Following the will of God, to be an under shepherd of an appointed flock, He is committed to building relationships so that God’s children may grow into the true status of Christ.
